I have a multifunction printer/scanner machine sitting next to my current WHS that is only used as a printer, being able to network all of the functions would be very cool! I did have it set to backup on startup and when files change, but maybe another setting will not be so annoying. Or find the few offending files and rename them. So what is the point of this issue?How can it be fixed to save even the longest path?

I back up my primary server to the Synology and will soon be using it for camera surveillance. Main Systems - Core I7-4770, 16 Gigs DDR3-1600, 180 Gig Intel 330 SSD. 240 Gig Intel 520, 3T Seagate - Other systems - Core I7-2600, 2 x Core I5-2500, Core I5-4570S, Overall all these devices in my opinion are to supplement the home network and WHS, but I have not found a replacement yet that provides everything.
